General Description

Painting of steel fabricated and non-fabricated parts; material moving to/from paint shed; responsible or paint equipment and ensure proper paint is used for job.

Responsibilities of Position

• Prep equipment and part before painting
• Report observed problems to supervisor (bad welds, bent/broken parts, etc.).
• Applying correct coatings per specifications.
• Material handling (moving to/from paint shed, turning parts over).
• Storing, cleaning, and general maintenance on painting equipment.
• Turn in paint compliance sheet at the end or start of each shift.

Requirements of Position

• Able to follow verbal orders from supervisor, work with limited supervision.
• Must pass a respiratory-fit test, physical and drug screen.
• Must be able lift up to 80 pounds and 50 repetitively.
• Experience is helpful but not necessary.
• Knowledge of paint and equipment helpful.
• Good hand eye coordination.
• Good physical condition required – some lifting and outside work.

General Description

Blasting of fabricated and non-fabricated steel parts; material handling, removal of used sand; cleaning and general maintenance of blast shed.

This is a 2nd shift position.

Responsibilities of Position

• Blasting fabricated and non-fabricated parts to specified specs.
• Material handling – moving parts in and out of blast shed, turning parts over or around.
• May be required to operate forklift.
• Help watch and keep tabs on exhaust system.
• Removal of used sand from blast shed.
• Keep blast area clean.
• May be required to help in paint shed.
• May be required to help out in yard.
• Assist in other areas at management discretion.

Requirements of Position

• Able to follow verbal orders from supervisor, work with limited supervision.
• Must pass a physical and drug screen (this includes a chest X-ray).
• Experience is helpful but not necessary.

• Program machine to burn per traveler or drawing.
• Remove and clean burnt pieces.
• Mark job and piece numbers on material.

• Must be qualified or trained to operate Plasma Table, or Burning machines.

Estimate Structural & Miscellaneous Steel Fabrication Labor Hours & Material Costs. Work with Project Managers to Prepare Quotation Documents so They can Bid Projects to Their Customers.

Responsibilities of Position

• Evaluate Bid Drawings, Specifications and General Conditions to Establish Padgett’s Scope of Work.
• Estimate all Materials & Labor Required for Structural & Miscellaneous Steel Fabrication Projects.
• Procure Current Pricing and Lead Times for All Materials, Purchased Parts and Sub-Contractors Required to Perform the Project.
• Make Notes of Special Conditions, Time Constraints or Exclusions for Project Manager to Assist Them with Bidding Erection.

Requirements of Position

• 5 Years’ Experience of Reading and Interpreting Architectural Drawings & Specifications Preferred.
• Experience in Structural Steel Fabrication & Erection, Welding and General Construction Preferred.
• Strong Analytical, Written and Verbal Skills.
• Ability to Prioritize and Multi-Task.
• Basic Computer Skills Required, Takeoff Software Experience Preferred.

General Labors are responsible for loading and unloading bulk materials, such as job boxes, fork trucks, steel, equipment and wash and clean trucks and cranes returning from job sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION

• Assists Drivers and Crane Operators through his/her shift. May be required to operate forklift.
• Able to retrieve material from yard and Crane shop, to load and unload Semi-Trucks.
• Wash and clean trucks and cranes returning from job sites.
• Able to complete all jobs independently.
• Able and willing to assist others in loading, moving and re-storing field equipment and vehicles.
• Position includes operating a wide variety of heavy equipment, general laborer responsibilities, and other general duties as needed at the discretion of Management.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION

• High school diploma/GED or commensurate work experience in manufacturing and general construction.
• General property maintenance and construction skills preferred to effectively perform the essential functions of the position. (sawing structural beams, heavy equipment operation, etc.).
• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to operate ground carts trucks and forklift equipment.

General Description

Mobile Crane Field Technician, maintains heavy diesel equipment operation by completing
inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies and
keeping records.

This position will take problem solving calls with operators, shop and service reps. Sixty percent
of the duties will be in a field environment. Over-time is a must for this position.

Responsibilities of Position

Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn
and damaged parts.

Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing
component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing weatherization procedures.

Corrects equipment deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling,
disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems,
such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering,
hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including
bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages,
clutches, and traction units.

Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.

Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion
control standards.

Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.

Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting
breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.

Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and
regulation publications.

Requirements of Position

High school diploma/GED or commensurate work experience as a Diesel mechanics.
Up to date computer skills on the latest technology in the Heavy equipment and Mobile Cranes.

Provides full attention to what other people are saying, respectfully communicates by taking time
to understand the points being made and asks questions at appropriate times to obtain
clarification.
Prefer vocational or technical training to operate machinery or minimum 5 years related
experience.

Must be able to travel; may assist in other shop areas at management discretion.

Must have valid driver’s license and be able to operate forklift equipment and company vehicles.

Efficiently answer and respond to questions regarding projects and resolve maintenance issues
without supervision.

Good physical condition required – some lifting and outside work. Lifting up to 80 pounds, and
